European Cancer Organisation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Every year in Europe, 2 million people die from cancer. Many of these deaths could be prevented through earlier detection and screening.
This European Week Against Cancer, the European Cancer Organisation launches the 2026 European Cancer Screening Policy Index.
Amongst the key findings:
- Major inequalities persist across Europe
- Screening programmes are expanding, but progress is uneven
- Participation is stagnating or declining in several countries
- Organised screening improves equity and outcomes
- EU action is helping drive pilot programmes for key cancers
Download a copy of the Index now and learn more about its findings and recommendations: European Cancer Screening Policy Index 2026.”
