“Each year in Europe, an estimated 53,000 people are diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. It is the eighth most common cancer in the world.
Awareness matters. Understanding how this cancer develops is just the first step towards earlier diagnosis, better outcomes, and stronger public policies.
That’s why we’re highlighting Oesophageal Cancer Awareness Month and the importance of keeping EU governments focused on tackling this disease.
