Keeping Cancer at the Heart of Europe’s Long-Term Budget – European Cancer Organisation

European Cancer Organisation shared a post on LinkedIn:

“On World Cancer Day, unity matters more than ever.

With 2.7 million Europeans diagnosed with cancer each year and 1.28 million dying from it, this disease remains one of the greatest public health challenges of our time. Members of the European Parliament from across the political spectrum are now coming together to send a strong and clear message: the EU must continue to reach higher in the fight against cancer, childhood cancer and rare diseases.

Building on the momentum of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, they’re calling for an EU long-term budget that sustains better cancer prevention, research, treatment and survivorship. Join us for this vital meeting.

  • Tuesday, 3 February
  • 10:00–11:30 CET
  • European Parliament, Room 5E2

Register now.”
