Work lead by Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Miami Hem/Onc Program Director, Kyle Edwards, Chinmay Jani, Estela Rodriguez, Gilberto Lopes, Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.

Mesothelioma remains ‘a considerable public health problem‘ in the US, per Chinmay Jani, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and colleagues.

They found:

  • Cases and deaths are rising
  • No survival improvement since 1990
  • Women bear a growing share of the disease burden.

Mesothelioma cases, deaths continue to rise despite asbestos regulations.”
