Omnia Mohamed Shares Her Experience From a Breast Cancer Observership in Portugal Through ESO Fellowship Programme

ESO shared on X:

“What happens when you can spend three months learning from a different breast cancer team?

Omnia Mohamed, an oncologist from Egypt, was selected for a three-month observership in the Breast Unit at the Champalimaud Clinical Centre in Portugal through the European School of Oncology (ESO) Clinical Training Centres Fellowship Programme.

The programme offers professionals the chance to learn from specialist teams in European cancer centres.

“My time at Champalimaud has been a truly meaningful experience. I came with the hope of learning from an outstanding breast cancer team, but I leave with much more than clinical knowledge.

I was inspired by the way multidisciplinary collaboration, patient-centred care and a constant pursuit of excellence shape practice everyday.

I return to Egypt with new perspectives, ideas and connections that I hope to carry forward in the care of my patients and in my work with colleagues.” – Dr. Omnia Mohamed.
