Opportunity to Apply for Editor-in-Chief Position Within ESMO’s Expanding Journal Portfolio

“Apply for an Editor-in-Chief position within ESMO’s expanding journal portfolio.

Recent Impact Factor milestones across the ESMO Journal portfolio, including a record Impact Factor of 80.4 for Annals of Oncology and first Impact Factors for ESMO Gastrointestinal Oncology and ESMO Real World Data and Digital Oncology only a few years after their launch, reflect the continued growth and development of ESMO Journals.

Applications are now open for Editor-in-Chief positions for three new journals launching in late 2026:

  • ESMO Genitourinary Oncology
  • ESMO Oncology Policy and Science
  • ESMO Oncology and Artificial Intelligence

This is a unique opportunity to shape the scientific development of a new journal and contribute to the advancement of cancer research, policy, innovation, and patient care worldwide.

Applicants must be current ESMO members.
Application deadline: 6 September 2026.
