Eric Bouffet: Management of Pediatric Brain Tumors in Low- and Middle-Income countries

Eric Bouffet, Director of Paediatric  Neuro-Oncology Program at The Hospital for Sick Children, Vice president of the French African Group of Paediatric Oncology, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues authored:

“New paper on Brain tumours in LMIC, please read.

Happy to share this link. This is a paper we wrote together with Dr. Amayiri (Jordan), Mushtaq (Pakistan) and Ghalibafian (Iran) on the (sad) reality and the many challenges of managing children with brain tumours in countries with limited resources. Just a glimpse, as there would be so much more to say. The message is an African Proverb:

‘If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together’.

We need to work together (the international pediatric oncology community) to make this world a better world.”
