“When personal passions meet professional interests in meaningful ways.
This month, Amber Hofmans and Ellen Roelandts are running the Leuven Half Marathon and the Trailberg Half Marathon in support of the EORTC Cancer Research Fund.
As researchers themselves, they are combining their love of running and nature with a cause they genuinely care about. They believe strongly in the importance of clinical cancer research to improve survival and quality of life for people living with cancer and understand that its impact goes far beyond medical side alone. Through their commitment, both are also keen to help advance the training of future generations of oncologists.
We’re grateful for their energy and dedication and wish them the very best in the days leading up to their races.
