“Planes, trains, and… traffic jams!
Public transport definitely isn’t on our side for the EORTC – European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Group meeting in Copenhagen this year – trains breaking down in Germany, strikes in the Netherlands, traffic jams in Austria and the UK… but I made it to the airport and am ready for an inspiring three days ahead!
Proud to share that our TOUR: Transforming cancer OUtcomes through Research team will be presenting updates on:
- Common data models for QoL research (Charlotte Moss)
- Bladder cancer and testicular cancer projects (Elke Rammant and Louis Fox)
- Immune checkpoint inhibitors (Louis Fox)
- Using wearables to measure quality of life (Louis Fox, Hugo Vachon and Katarzyna Wac)
- Recruitment with patient organisations (Saran Green, Emily Holthuis, Iryna Shakhnenko and Olga Husson)
- Oesophageal cancer research (Louis Fox and Elizabeth Smyth)
Looking forward to hearing new research proposals, catching up on the latest from the business meeting, and joining the plenary session on cultural sensitivity in QoL research (Carlo Caduff King’s College London).
If you’re at the meeting, come say hello! Let’s keep pushing the boundaries of quality of life research—no matter what travel throws at us.”
