Emily Collin: Bringing Back New Ideas From St. Jude NextGen Experience

Emily Collin, Student at Marist University Honors Program, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Over the past few days, I had the opportunity to attend the St. Jude NextGen Experience in Memphis, TN. As the Executive Director for the Hudson Rally for St. Jude at Marist University, it was an honor to represent our group and share our experiences with many other college students. At this event, I was fortunate enough to tour the hospital campus, hear from wonderful speakers, network with fellow Collegiate teams, and gather new strategies to maximize fundraising. This trip has created countless memories and offered many new ideas to strengthen fundraising efforts.

Being able to visit the place where magic happens daily was unforgettable. Walking the grounds of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will forever be one of the most influential experiences I have had the opportunity to partake in. Hearing from patient families, and staff members about the impact we as college students make daily, was truly special. Putting faces to names, and seeing first hand where the money we fundraise goes is such an incredible feeling. I cannot wait to use the new fundraising strategies and event ideas on campus for the 2026-2027 school year.

Thank you to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – ALSAC for this incredible experience. Also thank you to Carly Abramson, Lily Walls and Benjamin Farrugia from UT Austin for being so welcoming and an awesome team to be around!”
