Emad Shash: Welcoming Novartis Egypt Leaders to Cairo University’s Breast Cancer Center

Emad Shash, Leading Cancer Researcher and Director at National Cancer Institute, shared on LinkedIn:

“Building Bridges, Strengthening Partnerships, and Advancing Patient-Centered Cancer Care!

It was a great pleasure today to welcome Jihane Hatem El Murr, Country President of Novartis Egypt, together with Moheyeldin Magdy Head of Oncology Business Unit of Novartis Egypt and Mona Elsallamy Breast Cancer Brand Manager of Novartis Egypt, to the Breast Cancer Comprehensive Center (BCCC) at the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University.

Beyond a wonderful visit, it was an opportunity for meaningful conversations, exchanging perspectives, and exploring opportunities to strengthen collaboration around a shared commitment to improving breast cancer care.

I was particularly delighted to walk our guests through our center, showcasing how we are working to translate our vision of comprehensive, integrated, and patient-centered cancer care into everyday clinical practice.

From multidisciplinary care and personalized treatment to patient education, navigation, supportive care, and survivorship, our ambition is to continuously improve not only clinical outcomes but also the entire patient journey.

I have always believed that meaningful healthcare partnerships begin with shared values, grow through mutual understanding, and create impact through action.

Visits like today’s remind us that bringing healthcare institutions and industry leaders closer together opens doors for innovation, knowledge exchange, and, most importantly, better experiences and outcomes for our patients.

My sincere appreciation to our partners for their wonderful visit, engaging discussions, and genuine interest in our work.

Looking forward to building on today’s conversations, strengthening our bonds, and translating shared ambitions into meaningful actions that make a difference in patients’ lives.”
