Emad Shash, General Manager at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, shared on LinkedIn:

“Welcoming the University of West Attica Delegation to the Breast Cancer Comprehensive Center

Today, it was our pleasure to welcome a distinguished delegation from the University of West Attica, Greece, including Dr. Lamprini Moustakopoulou, Dr. Artemis Chaleplioglou, and Dr. Christina Athanasopoulou, together with Dr. Amal Shaaban from the Faculty of Nursing, Cairo University, to the Breast Cancer Comprehensive Center, National Cancer Institute, Cairo University.

During their visit, we shared our integrated model of multidisciplinary breast cancer care, highlighting our work in patient navigation, patient education, quality improvement, clinical services, research, and implementation of patient-centered oncology. The delegation also toured our facilities and engaged in fruitful discussions with our multidisciplinary team on best practices, education, research, and opportunities for future collaboration.

International partnerships are not merely about exchanging visits. They are about exchanging knowledge, challenging one another to improve, and building sustainable collaborations that ultimately enhance patient outcomes and strengthen healthcare systems.

My sincere appreciation goes to our outstanding multidisciplinary team for showcasing the dedication, innovation, and compassion that define our center every day.

I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to the International Relations Office of Cairo University for their continuous efforts in fostering international academic collaboration, and in particular to Dr. Heidi Bayoumy for her invaluable support in coordinating and facilitating this successful visit.

Thank you to our distinguished guests for an inspiring and engaging day. We look forward to strengthening the collaboration between the University of West Attica, the Faculty of Nursing, Cairo University, and the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University through joint educational initiatives, collaborative research, faculty and student exchanges, and innovations in patient-centered cancer care.”
