Emad Shash: Call for Papers on Global Cancer Education in Medical Schools

Emad Shash, Director of the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, and President of the Egyptian Gynaecological Oncology Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Call for Papers | Global Cancer Education in Medical Schools (JCE Collection)

I’m honored to serve as ‘Guest Editor’ for an upcoming special collection in the Journal of Cancer Education (JCE)—an international journal dedicated to enhancing effective education about cancer-related issues.

JCE is the official journal of the American Association for Cancer Education (AACE) and the European Association for Cancer Education (EACE), published by Springer Nature.

What we’re building?

A curated collection of peer-reviewed manuscripts from different countries describing undergraduate cancer education in medical schools—what is taught, how it’s taught, what works, and what needs to change.

Deadline for Final drafts due: 30 April 2026

Why submit?

No submission fees/page charges for subscription publications
Many institutions may publish Open Choice via Transformative Agreements at no cost to authors
Broad readership spanning clinicians, educators, students, and health professionals

Interested in contributing?

Please contact me (Emad Shash) or the Editor-in-Chief of JCE (Prof. Amr Soliman) to receive the full details and author guidance.

(I’m sharing the flyer in this post—feel free to circulate within your medical school/oncology education networks.).”
