Emad Shash, Leading Cancer Researcher and Director at the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Yesterday, we were honored to welcome our colleagues from Libya to the Breast of Cancer Comprehensive Center (BCCC), National Cancer Institute – Cairo University for a focused clinical observation preceptorship.
Across the day, we exchanged practical insights on breast cancer care pathways, optimizing patient navigation, and the importance of multidisciplinary coordination, alongside discussions on triple-negative breast cancer (including current and emerging perspectives), radiotherapy techniques, advancements in breast surgery, and interactive MDT case discussions, followed by a facility tour.
My sincere thanks to MSD for facilitating this valuable program and enabling meaningful cross-country knowledge exchange.
Special appreciation to:
- Prof. Heba El Zawahary
- Prof. Medhat El Sebaie
- Prof. Omar Z. Youssef
- Dr. Ghada Emam and My BCCC team for outstanding organization and hospitality
- From MSD: Dr. Ahmed Taie, Dr. Rana Hashem, Dr. Maged Makar Morcos , Dr. David Georges
We look forward to continued collaboration to strengthen breast cancer outcomes and patient journeys across the region.”
