Elizabeth Smyth, ESMO Director of Education, Clinical Lead at the Oxford Clinical Trials Office, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Really proud to have co-authored the newly published ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines for gastric and oesophageal cancer, alongside a fantastic group of international colleagues!
This is an important update, with new recommendations for perioperative durvalumab plus FLOT following MATTERHORN, and zanidatamab-based treatment in first-line HER2-positive advanced disease.
And now, as we count down to what promises to be the biggest ESMO Congress ever, the question is: what other practice-changing data are coming? I’m particularly excited to see CLARITY-Gastric01 in Sundays Presidential Symposium. Could we be looking at another major advance for patients with gastro-oesophageal cancer? Looking forward to a brilliant few days in Madrid and catching up with colleagues from around the world!”
