Elizabeth C. Miller, Audit Committee Chair and Board Member at Ronald McDonald House New York and SEC Reviewing Partner at KPMG, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Still taking in last Sunday.
I conquered the Tokyo Marathon, which meant completing my sixth World Marathon Major and earning the Six Star medal.
What started years ago as a way to give back after Kerry’s cancer diagnosis has become something much bigger than I ever imagined.
This race alone raised nearly $60,000, and over the six-marathon journey Kerry and I have now raised more than $416,000 for pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Having Kerry with me in Tokyo to celebrate the final star was so emotional and very special. Thank you to everyone who donated, encouraged me, and supported this mission along the way. I’m incredibly grateful.”
