Elias Ortega Chahla: Presenting Two Neuro-Oncology Research Projects at SNO 2026

Elias Ortega Chahla, Medical Director (Hematology/Oncology), IQVIA, shared a on LinkedIn:

”I am happy to share that two of our papers have been accepted for presentation at the Society for Neuro-Oncology Annual Meeting 2026, which will be held in Philadelphia, USA.

The accepted abstracts are:

GLIO-AYA-AR: Gliomas in Adolescents and Young Adults (AYA) in Argentina: Molecular Signatures, Clinical Behavior, and Survival Outcomes

Liquid Biopsy in Medulloblastoma: A Scoping Review

These works reflect two lines of research that I consider fundamental to continue promoting the development of neuro-oncology in our region: on the one hand, to generate evidence on the reality of gliomas in adolescents and young adults in Argentina, and on the other, to explore the potential of liquid biopsies in medulloblastoma, a field with great projection to improve the diagnosis and follow-up of these patients.

It is an honor to be able to present these results at one of the most important congresses in the world in neuro-oncology and to contribute from Argentina to the international scientific exchange.

I would like to give special thanks to all the colleagues, collaborators and institutions that made these projects possible. Special mention for Matías Agustín Atencio, and the entire GAINO (Grupo Argentino de Investigación en Neuro-Oncología). Collaborative research continues to be the engine to move towards better care for our patients.

See you in SNO 2026 in Philadelphia.”
