New Initiative Targets Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening in Bangladesh – Elekta Foundation

Elekta Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:

Part 1 of 3: Together for women’s cancer care in Bangladesh

170 million people.
Millions of women at risk of cancer.

In Bangladesh, cervical and breast cancer remain two of the most common cancers affecting women but often detected too late.

That’s why Elekta Foundation has partnered with Grameen Kalyan.

Together, we are strengthening access to cervical and breast cancer screening and prevention through an integrated, dual-screening approach.

Building on the Elekta Foundation FAST model, the initiative aims to demonstrate a scalable, evidence-based solution for early detection.

Starting with a pilot to screen 20,000 women, the goal is clear. To support women’s health priorities and ultimately contribute to the WHO’s 2030 target to eliminate cervical cancer.

This is where change begins. With partnership. With action. With women at the center.

In the next post, we’ll share how capacity building makes this possible.”
