Elekta Foundation is Launching a FAST Pilot Screening Project in Bangladesh

Elekta Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Because women’s health can’t wait .

Elekta Foundation is launching a FAST pilot screening project in Bangladesh, an important step in expanding access to women’s cancer care in low resource countries.

Building on our experience from Mission2027 in Rwanda, the FAST model will be introduced in collaboration with Grameen Kalyan. A pioneering social business delivering affordable, high quality healthcare to underserved rural communities across Bangladesh.

FAST stands for:

F – Fast HPV testing
A – Affordable cost per woman
S – Systematic tracking
T – Timely diagnosis and treatment

The aim is clear:
To screen 20,000 women and create the groundwork for a structured, population based screening program.

Results from the pilot will be reviewed in the end of the first quarter 2026 and used to guide the next phase toward national scale, in line with WHO’s global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer.

In the video, our CEO Lacy Hubbard, explains every part of FAST is designed for SPEED, SCALE and QUALITY and it’s working.

Because progress doesn’t come from ambition alone, but from models that work in practice.”
