“Not every breast tumor is treated the same way… Does every patient get the same treatment plan?
October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast cancer is not a single disease, and even cases with the same diagnosis may differ in tumor characteristics and response to treatment.
Knowing the stage alone is not enough, but we need to understand the nature of the tumor and its biological characteristics, including the status of hormone receptors, HER2, and other factors that may influence the choice of treatment.
The treatment decision is not based solely on the name of the disease, but on the full picture of each case.
Early detection is important…
But an accurate diagnosis guides the decision, and the right treatment makes the difference.
In October, we remember that raising breast cancer awareness doesn’t stop at early detection, but extends to ensuring that an accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and integrated care are reached for each patient
Every case is different… It therefore deserves to be evaluated and treated according to its characteristics.”
