“A 7-year study at a comprehensive cancer center examined trends in outpatient palliative care (PC) referrals among 700 advanced cancer patients. Timely referral (≥6 months before death) increased over time and was linked with factors like cancer type and performance status, showing earlier PC integration is feasible.”
