Egyptian Cancer Society – ECS shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Egyptian Cancer Society (ECS) is proud to collaborate with the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC 2026), taking place 12–15 September 2026 in Seoul, Republic of Korea—one of the world’s leading global platforms dedicated to advancing thoracic cancer research and care.
As part of this global scientific gathering, ECS experts will actively contribute to the Joint IASLC–EMRO Forum, bringing the Egyptian perspective into regional discussions aimed at advancing lung cancer care across the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMRO). The Joint IASLC–EMRO Forum is included within the official WCLC 2026 scientific program.
The forum will address key priorities across the lung cancer continuum, including screening and early detection, smoking cessation, access to treatment, precision oncology, liquid biopsy, clinical research, and regional collaboration, while contributing to efforts toward developing and advancing lung cancer guidelines tailored to the needs and realities of the EMRO region.
Through this participation, ECS continues its commitment to ensuring that Egyptian expertise has a strong voice in regional and international scientific collaboration, helping translate global evidence into practical strategies that can improve lung cancer prevention, diagnosis and care across Egypt, Africa and EMRO regions.”
