“The fight against cancer is now at the heart of the G7 agenda.
The G7 leaders’ call underlines the need for stronger international cooperation across three key areas:
- Improving data sharing and research collaboration for paediatric, adolescent and young adult cancers
- Intensifying action on cancers with poor prognosis
- Expanding access to high-quality cancer care for all
At the European Cancer Organisation, we welcome this renewed commitment to collective action. It reflects the same logic of cross-border cooperation that has shaped Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and the EU Mission on Cancer.
As global momentum builds, Europe must continue to reach higher for cancer care by sustaining the progress achieved so far and securing the political commitment and funding needed for the next frontier of cancer care.
