“The key problem with early detection cancer screening studies isn’t the test or downstream procedures. It regards our inability to predict risk beyond age, and in the case of lung cancer how many cigarettes someone smoked.

This inability blows up the denominator blurring our ability to see its benefits for the individuals actually helps.”
