Drew Moghanaki: ASTRO has Signed a Collaboration Agreement With SOLAR

Drew Moghanaki, Professor, Chief of Thoracic Oncology at the Department of Radiation Oncology and Stanley Iezman and Nancy Stark Endowed Chair in Thoracic Radiation Oncology Research at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and Chief Medical Officer of Respirati, shared ASTRO’s post on X, adding:

“It was a very big deal to see in person. It bolsters an already incredibly networked group of radiation oncologists and medical physicists across a continent to make sure no clinic is left behind as our technologies get safer and more effective than ever before.”

Quoting ASTRO’s post:

“ASTRO is proud to share the signing of a collaboration agreement with SOLAR, a federation of 13 national radiation oncology societies across Central and South America. This milestone reflects a shared commitment to collaboration and advancing radiation oncology globally. We look forward to working with our colleagues across the SOLAR network.”

Drew Moghanaki also added:

“The signing followed a delightful luncheon where it was clear there is one mission: to reduce suffering across LATAM wherever patients need care.

The international networking efforts across LATAM also includes ALAMO, representing a powerful group of women in radonc (MD and physics) ready to stand on each others’ shoulders to build an unstoppable workforce capable of delivering the highest quality SRS and SBRT everywhere.”
