Donald Hall, Managing Director – Portfolio Manager and Global Head of Research at Nuveen, a TIAA company shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today we celebrate my wife Hilary’s 30th cancerversary!
On April 9, 1996 her brother David donated his bone-marrow to save his big sister’s life and help her beat leukemia. To celebrate 4/9/96, let’s get this post 4,996 interactions!
In 11 days, Hilary will continue celebrating this milestone by running her 15th Bank of America Boston Marathon to raise funds for cancer research at the world-class Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Each year she carries the names of hundreds to celebrate those who have not made it and those who are still fighting their battles.
Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like her to carry the name of a loved one with her this year.
This year’s goal is $60k raised for cancer research to celebrate 30 years leukemia free (x2 since she also beat breast cancer a decade ago).
She is well on her way to $350k fundraised for cancer research over her lifetime. If you’d like to help get her there – or if you’d like to read more about her story – click here.”
