Dimitrije Kolovic, Medical Doctor at Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, shared on LinkedIn:
“This July, I had the honor of attending the ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology GI Congress 2026 in Munich, where I presented my e-poster: “Systemic Inflammatory Markers and Outcomes in Metastatic Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (mPDAC): A Serbian Cohort Study“, developed in collaboration with colleagues from the University Clinical Center Kragujevac.
One of the highlights for me was finally meeting my mentor Alexander Siebenhüner from the European School of Oncology ESO College Mentorship Program in person. I’m thankful for his advice and support along the way, which I’ve genuinely appreciated as I continue to grow as a researcher and clinician. Congresses like this are a great reminder of how valuable mentorship and international collaboration are in advancing research and patient care.
Grateful for the experience, the people I met, and the knowledge I brought back home.”
