This past week was filled with so many meaningful moments, including having our staff from every city together in one place and celebrating Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research ’s 20th anniversary with supporters who have been with us since the very beginning. More on the fabulous 20th celebration soon.
Having the full team together was truly good for the soul. The time for connection and reflection reminded me how special this group is. There were plenty of laughs and a few tears as we remembered the funny moments along the way and the harder seasons we have navigated together, all while having the honor of walking closely with families during the most difficult moments of their lives.
I am deeply grateful for this team, for their professionalism, their heart and their commitment to growing and doing this work well, even when it is not easy. I am humbled that they choose Rally.
Here’s to hoping and praying that in the next 20 years, we are all out of jobs because no more children are dying from cancer.
