Dean Crowe, Founder and CEO of the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport canopies shined GOLD on Tuesday, the last day of September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
When my dear friend and brother Dr. Kofi Smith was CEO of the ATL Airport, he asked for the canopies to glow gold each September in honor of Rally and childhood cancer awareness. This week, he made sure the tradition returned, not for himself, but in memory of Rally Kids Sara and Dre, and for all the brave kids fighting cancer.
Kofi, your leadership and heart are truly gold. Thank you for making such a powerful statement for our kids.
And on that very same day, three Rally Kids were in the Oval Office for the signing of a new Executive Order for childhood cancer research.
Tuesday is a day I will never forget.”
