David O’Malley Rides Pelotonia in Honor of Patients, Family and Research

David O’Malley, Professor and Division Director of Gynecologic Oncology, Co-Director, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I am a gynecologic oncologist at The James Cancer Hospital, one of the largest comprehensive cancer centers in the United States. Every day I have the privilege of caring for women and families facing cancer. Their courage, strength, and resilience inspire me more than words can express.

Pelotonia is personal for me.

Like so many families, cancer has touched mine as well. This year I ride especially in memory of my father, who passed away 10 years ago, and in honor of friends, especially P. Lowe, and loved ones who have battled this disease. But most of all, I ride for my patients.

I ride for the women who show extraordinary courage in the face of ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancer. I ride for their families who stand beside them. I ride for the researchers, nurses, physicians, and staff who dedicate their lives to finding better treatments and cures.

Pelotonia is unique because 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to cancer research at The James. Together, we are accelerating discoveries that bring tomorrow’s therapies to patients today. Your support fuels that progress.

Thank you for helping us move closer to a world without cancer.”
