David Hindley: Servier Research and Development Career Day Showcases AI and Career Pathways

David Hindley, Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Servier, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“What an energizing day at our Servier R&D Career Day at Paris-Saclay!

This day was designed to give future talents a real, concrete understanding of what it means to start, build, and ultimately shape a career in science, in a world where AI is transforming the way we discover and develop tomorrow’s medicines. Students had the opportunity to meet our teams, explore the diversity of our R&D roles, and learn more about apprenticeships, PhDs, postdocs and junior positions at Servier.

We were also inspired by the exceptional high diver Madeleine Bayon, whose words resonated strongly with the reality of research

“You can learn something from every failure… even an experience that you hated.”

A powerful reminder that progress in R&D is built on curiosity, resilience and the ability to learn from every step — especially the difficult ones.

To all the students who joined us: thank you for your energy and your questions. You are the ones who will shape the future of science, and we’re proud to support your journey.

And of course, a heartfelt thank you to all the teams who made this event possible – from our R&D experts to our HR colleagues and every volunteer who helped create such an inspiring experience for students and young scientists. Kudos to Geoffroy Bellet, Audrey A. and all our colleagues involved!”
