David Banyanga: Advancing Cancer Care Through Knowledge and Exchange at ISCO 2026 Cairo

David Banyanga, Clinical Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Resident at the Main hospital of Alexandria university, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I had the privilege of attending the 6th Annual Congress of the ISCO held in Cairo from 23rd to 24th of April 2026, an inspiring and enriching experience.

During the congress, I gained valuable insights into:

  • Advances in medical oncology , the integration of AI in radiation oncology, best practices from updated clinical trials for common cancer diseases, the importance of precision medicine in improving patient outcomes, methodologies for conducting and publishing impactful scientific research as well as into other many topics discussed during the congress.

Equally rewarding was the opportunity to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, exchanging perspectives and experiences. These interactions highlighted both the challenges and opportunities in bridging gaps in clinical oncology, especially for professionals from low- and middle-income countries.

I am confident that the knowledge acquired will be beneficial to my community back home, and I am grateful to have received a certificate of participation.

My sincere gratitude goes to the organizers for their excellent work, to my Alexandria University and my ACOD for continuously involving me in such activities, to my profesors Waleed Arafat, Mohyeldin Saber Abdelhalim, Rasha El saka, Ahmed Ashour, Neamat Hegazy, Hanady Hegazy,  the consultants Rowan Adel, Omnia Ahmed Mabrouk, Dareen K., Fagr Aboumadawy, my segnors Elabrar Ebrahim, Lilian Mageh, Rana, my colleagues for their respect and support.

This experience has strengthened my commitment to advancing oncology practices and contributing to better healthcare outcomes.”
