Over the past several years, we’ve made tremendous progress in radiation oncology. Yet one of the biggest misconceptions I still encounter is that many people associate radiation therapy with older treatment techniques and the side effects that came with them.

Through my work at Blue Ridge Cancer Care and Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), I’ve had the opportunity to help bring innovative treatments to patients while advancing research that continues to shape the future of radiation oncology.
