“Honoured to be invited to the World Cancer Leaders’ Summit 2025 (WCLS2025) and to contribute to a global conversation that is shaping the future of cancer control.
The discussions on advancing lung cancer within the global lung health agenda were a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come – and how much more we must do. The recent adoption of the WHO Integrated Lung Health Resolution gives us a real opportunity to accelerate progress across prevention, early detection, treatment and survivorship.
It was inspiring to hear UN agencies, global leaders and country representatives reflect on shared challenges and innovations, from AI-driven cancer control to improving access for Indigenous communities, and national actions showcased by Brunei, Cambodia and Tonga.
I’m grateful for the platform to share Malaysia’s perspective and to champion stronger, equitable lung cancer policies worldwide.”
