Daphne Kaitelidou: CHESME Designated as WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Workforce and Service Quality

Daphne Kaitelidou, Professor at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, shared a post on LinkedIn:

A Defining Moment for Our Center for Health Services Management and Evaluation (CHESME)

We are incredibly proud to announce that the Center for Health Services Management and Evaluation (Department of Nursing, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) has officially been designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre on Human Resources for Health and Quality of Health Services.

This recognition by the World Health Organization is both a great honour and a profound responsibility. It affirms years of collective dedication from our faculty, researchers, students, and colleagues to:

  • Advancing quality in health services
  • Strengthening the global health workforce
  • Promoting evidence-based policy and practice

As health systems worldwide face unprecedented challenges, we are committed to contributing our knowledge and technical expertise to help countries build resilient, people-centred systems. We firmly believe that quality care and strong health systems are fundamental rights, not privileges.
This designation is not an endpoint; It is the beginning of deeper international collaboration, greater responsibility and broader global impact.

A heartfelt thank you to the World Health Organization for their trust, our National and Kapodistrian University of Athens leadership and our Department of Nursing for their continuous support, and our incredible team for their excellence.”
