Danish Cancer Institute shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We are very proud to announce that three of our group leaders at the Danish Cancer Institute — Elena Papaleo, Nils Krietenstein, and Jesper Nylandsted — have each been awarded a prestigious Novo Nordisk Foundation Project Grant in Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine 2025.
These grants support pioneering research into fundamental biological mechanisms, and the awarded projects reflect the breadth and depth of expertise across our institute.
- Elena Papaleo will explore how disease-associated genetic variants influence autophagy, creating an atlas of functional effects from short linear motifs to molecular mechanisms.
- Jesper Nylandsted will investigate membrane healing signatures on the surface of cancer cells.
- Nils Krietenstein’s project focuses on deciphering the mechanisms of genome micro-compartmentalization.
Congratulations to Elena, Nils, and Jesper on this significant recognition.
