Daniel Stover: How Is Ohio State Advancing Breast Cancer Translational Research Through Team Science?

Daniel Stover, Medical Oncologist and Computational Biologist at Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared on LinkedIn:

“4 years ago, we started the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute Breast Cancer Translational Research Program.

This program serves as a hub to support and coordinate diverse breast cancer research across the OSUCCC ecosystem, and enhance the amazing work that is going on across the institution.

Today we held our 4th annual retreat!

  • Bhuvaneswary Ramaswamy Translational Breast Cancer Lecture by Sangeetha Reddy was an absolute tour de force of how to sync innovative clinical trials with cutting edge research, focused on dendtritic cells in the immune microenvironment
  • Roundtables supporting existing (and new!) ‘Team Science Neighborhoods’ to bring together diverse researchers around a topic of interest

Thanks to Heather LeFebvre, Program Manager, for her tireless work and for all those who have supported this effort to make it a reality: Kimryn Rathmell David Cohn, FACHE Bill Farrar,Victoria’s Secret and Co. Global Fund, Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, Pelotonia and many many others!”
