“At Gilead Sciences Patient Day, we got to hear from four remarkable people who have been through some significant health challenges and now share their experiences to help others. Their stories of living with HIV, cancer, and a form of liver disease called primary biliary cholangitis remind us why our commitment to finding treatments and cures matters.
As one of our guests put it, she didn’t sign up to be an inspiration but she knows that sharing her story and letting other patients know they are not alone is a great help to other others.
All the patient speakers inspired us today and I know that they – along with all the people and communities we serve – will stay front of mind for all of us as we continue our work.
