“Coming back from a truly inspiring visit to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!
It’s hard to visit St. Jude and not feel hopeful about the future of pediatric brain cancer care. I was so impressed by the incredible research on the molecular origins of pediatric brain tumors, tumor–neuronal–immune interactions, new therapeutic approaches and clinical trials, the unique models and technologies being developed, and especially the passion and dedication of the researchers.
What a remarkable place!
A huge thank you to Suzanne Baker and Paul Northcott for inviting me and for the wonderful hospitality!
It was a pleasure to meet and exchange ideas about glioma research and the future of glioma care with Suzanne Baker, Paul Northcott, and his great lab, Lindsay Schwarz, Caroline Escoubas, Bo Hu, Anang Shelat, Chris Tinkle, Jiyang Yu, Brent Orr, Giles Robinson and Stephen Mack, and many others. I also really enjoyed the discussions throughout the day and the lovely lunch with the trainees!
I came back feeling so inspired and optimistic about where the field is heading!”
