“Our Office for Faculty Development (OFD) and Clinical Faculty Council (CFC) awarded six clinical faculty members with the 2026 Clinical Faculty Awards in recognition for their exceptional contributions to the field of oncology.

The annual awards represent the OFD’s mission to support the careers of faculty members who embody our core values – delivering excellence that impacts cancer research and patient care with compassion, respect, inclusion, and curiosity. Recipients received awards across three categories: Bridging Boundaries Award, Clinical Innovation Award, or Clinical Mentoring Award.

Elizabeth Lilley, MD, MPH, a surgical oncologist in our Sarcoma and Bone Cancer Treatment Center, and Megan Anderson, MD, a surgical oncologist in the Childhood Solid Tumor Center and Surgery for Pediatric Cancer and Brain Tumors Clinic at Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Hospital, received this year’s Bridging Boundaries Award. The award honors clinicians with an exceptional ability to collaborate across disciplines while initiating informative decision-making about surgery, and to supporting quality of life and symptom management after surgery for cancer, impacting patient outcomes.

The Clinical Innovation Award was presented to Brad McGregor, MD, a medical oncologist and director of Clinical Research for the Lank Center of Genitourinary Oncology, and Susan Prockop, MD, pediatric oncologist and program director for Clinical and Translational Research and the Outpatient Clinic at Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorder Center. The award highlights clinicians who provide innovative care to patients through clinical trials and novel therapies.

Doug Rubinson, MD, PhD, medical oncologist, and Jennifer Snaman, MD, MS, director of Pediatric Palliative Care Research at Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorder Center, are recipients of the Clinical Mentoring Award. This award features clinicians whose behavior and approach are an outstanding example for trainees. Beyond their own achievements, Rubsinson and Snaman have built a reputation that not only inspires but teaches the next generation.

The awards were presented by Dana Farber’s Medical Oncologist Harold Burstein, MD, PhD, and Pediatric Oncologist Allison O‘Neill, MD, in their final official act as co-chairs of CFC.

Please join us in congratulating these recipients on their well-deserved recognitions.”

To which Katherine Janeway, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, added:

Dr. Megan Anderson, Director Orthopedic Oncology, Boston Children’s is so deserving of this recognition for bridging boundaries for young bone tumor patient care!”
