Dana Darwish, Noncommunicable Diseases and Nutrition Officer at the World Health Organization, Jordan Office, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“WHO Jordan, EMRO, and the Ministry of Health came together for a two-day workshop dedicated to amplifying the voices of people living with cancer and strengthening the capacities of the civil society organizations (CSOs) that support them.
Focused discussions culminated in a clear way forward to establish maps of all stakeholders and services, to streamline coordination, and to advance joint action on prioritized issues of access to service, patient navigation, fair work environment free from stigma.
The heart of the workshop came from survivors whose stories, filled with anxiety, faith, and courage, reminded us why this work matters so deeply. Their courage continues to inspire our collective action.
Thank you to MOH, EMRO, EMR NCD Alliance, JBCP, KHCF, Baheya Foundation, Association le Cancer: Nous Sommes Tous Concernes, our speakers, CSOs, survivors and logistics team.
