Dana Alattar, Research Volunteer at King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center and Tutor at Socrates Academy, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“New Publication

Is caffeine truly a cardiovascular protective agent, or are the observed benefits largely driven by coffee’s complex bioactive components and lifestyle factors?

I’m pleased to share that our comprehensive review, ‘Caffeine as a cardiovascular protective agent: a comprehensive review of mechanisms and outcomes,’ is now published in the European Journal of Medical Research (Q1, Impact Factor: 3.4).

In this review, we examine:

  • The mechanistic pathways of caffeine, including adenosine receptor antagonism and hemodynamic effects.
  • Epidemiological associations between caffeine intake and cardiovascular outcomes.
  • The role of preparation methods, dose variability, genetic polymorphisms, and baseline phenotypes in shaping clinical effects.”
