Cynthia Jordan: Redefining Strength – Christine Handy’s Survivor Journey
Cynthia Jordan, Founder of Learn Look Locate, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Redefining beauty, breaking stereotypes, and inspiring women globally. Breast cancer survivor and model Christine Handy shares her truth: after mastectomy, people told her she should wear a prosthetic to “look normal.” Instead, she chose to remain flat — and turned that choice into a message of strength and advocacy.
Christine proudly models flat, challenges outdated expectations, and continues to inspire women everywhere. Her upcoming film, Hello Beautiful Movie, celebrates women like herself — and women like me — who embrace life, confidence, and beauty on their own terms.
On a personal level, Christine has been connected with me since I first started Learn Look Locate. From day one, she has supported my mission and stood beside me in building a global, survivor-led, medically vetted platform. That is the true meaning of support — lifting one another up, celebrating each other’s voices, and sharing a vision to change how the world understands this disease.
I am honored to call Christine not only a friend, but also an LLL Ambassador. She is using her voice, her modeling, and her advocacy to help drive this mission forward — proof that survivorship is about more than treatment, it’s about redefining beauty and strength.
