CRIS Cancer Foundation: Celebrating The Queen Elizabeth Prize Recognition for Cancer Research

CRIS Cancer Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:

“We are incredibly proud to celebrate the recognition received this week by the Radiology team at The Institute of Cancer Research, honoured with The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Higher and Further Education during a special ceremony held at St James’s Palace.

On this occasion, the award recognised the outstanding work of the Division of Radiotherapy and Imaging, led by Prof. Kevin Harrington – a CRIS-funded doctor whose leadership and vision continue to drive innovation in cancer research.

We are especially proud that researchers behind this achievement have been supported by the CRIS Cancer Foundation. This recognition is a powerful endorsement of the mission of the CRIS Cancer Foundation and of the strength of our selection process. It demonstrates that the funds raised by CRIS Cancer are entrusted to exceptional minds who are advancing knowledge and working to deliver real impact for patients, their families and society.

Lola Manterola, co-founder of the CRIS Cancer Foundation, was delighted to personally congratulate Prof Harrington and his team after the ceremony, reflecting the close relationship between CRIS Cancer and the researchers we support.

At CRIS Cancer, we remain deeply committed to ensuring that every pound raised supports talented researchers with the potential to transform cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Congratulations to Prof Harrington and the entire team on this well-deserved honour. Your work inspires us and reinforces the importance of investing in bright minds who will shape the future.”
