“Merit Award at ASCOQLTY26!
Proud to see this research recognized at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Quality Care Symposium! ASCOQLTY26
Multicenter study evaluated PROM-TKI Br, a patient-reported symptom monitoring tool designed to improve treatment adherence among patients receiving oral tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) Edvane De Domenico Graça Matsubara Ana Maria Teixeira Pires.
Key findings:
- Implementation of PROM-TKI Br was associated with improved medication adherence (p = 0.016).
- Greater patient-reported symptom burden was associated with lower adherence.
- Patients and healthcare professionals reported high acceptability of the intervention.
These findings reinforce an important message: Listening to patients and systematically monitoring their symptoms can help us deliver more personalized, proactive, and patient-centered cancer care.
Congratulations to the entire research team on this well-deserved recognition!”
