“Happy Father’s Day! Today, we are recognizing the incredible impact of cancer research through the stories of patients like Ahmet.
When Ahmet began experiencing sharp, intermittent pain in his side, he knew something wasn’t right. After six months of navigating symptoms, he sought answers – a step that ultimately led him to Dr. Alison Schram, a Conquer Cancer-funded researcher.
Dr. Schram was leading a clinical trial evaluating a targeted therapy designed specifically for patients with Ahmet’s rare genetic mutation.
Because of donor-supported breakthrough research, Ahmet is now pain-free and celebrating today surrounded by his family.
