COA – Nearly 100 Advocates Convened in Washington, D.C. to Improve Cancer Care Access

Community Oncology Alliance (COA) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Today, we convened nearly 100 advocates in Washington, D.C., to ask Congress to support bipartisan policy solutions that help lower costs and increase access to care for patients of independent community oncology practices.

We’re so grateful for the COA advocates who took time from their busy schedules to share their stories today. Our advocates represented patients, survivors, caregivers, clinicians, nurses, pharmacy team members, and practice leaders from 28 states.

The momentum from today will help propel us forward as we continue to fight for patients all year.”

To which Emily Touloukian, President and CEO of Coastal Cancer Center, added:

“A great day in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill with the Community Oncology Alliance advocating with our patients for community oncology and the high quality care we provide to our local communities.

Such a privilege to be a part of this group and the work we are getting done.”
