“City of Hope’s first-of-its-kind national clinical trial model means that progress doesn’t stop at one location. It opens promising therapies across our sites in Southern California, Phoenix, Chicago and Atlanta, shortening the distance between discovery and the patients who need it most.
That national model helped make it possible for Rachelle Gardner to receive daraxonrasib, an investigational therapy, through an FDA-authorized Expanded Access Program. Rachelle, who has faced pancreatic cancer since 2023, is now one of the first eligible patients at City of Hope Chicago to receive it.
She marked her first dose with a simple toast: ‘To good health and getting rid of that cancer bug!’
Now she’s focused on more time with her fiancé, her students and her family.
