How the Microbiome May Influence Cancer Risk and Treatment Response – City of Hope

City of Hope shared a post on LinkedIn:

“City of Hope was proud to bring together national leaders in cancer research and care for ‘The Next Frontier of Cancer Prevention and Care: The Microbiome’, a scientific symposium that examined how the microbiome may influence cancer risk, immune function, treatment response and long‑term health.

The symposium convened U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., National Cancer Institute (NCI) Director Jay Bhattacharya, M.D., Ph.D., senior officials from The National Institutes of Health, as well as researchers, clinicians, and leaders from City of Hope and other leading cancer centers for an executive roundtable on the microbiome and how to drive progress in the fight against cancer.

We are grateful to the scientists and clinicians from these institutions who contributed to the symposium, driving forward meaningful progress in the fight against cancer.”
