How Nairobi Is Shaping a New Model for Cancer Care Delivery – City Cancer Challenge

City Cancer Challenge shared a post on LinkedIn:

“On the sidelines of the World Health Summit Regional Meeting in Nairobi this week, C/Can had a full agenda of high-level engagements with local authorities and key stakeholders advancing the city program.

We took the opportunity to organize a roundtable bringing together community leaders, clinicians, and patient advocates alongside Siemens Healthineers, giving them a firsthand understanding of how the C/Can city engagement model works in practice.

What came out of it was less a list of challenges and more a picture of a system with remarkable people working on it for long-term change. Since July 2025, 11 locally-led projects have been in active implementation in Nairobi, and the signs of early progress are already showing the direction the city is heading.

The challenges are real, and so is our commitment to solving them. Our role is to support that ownership and make it as impactful as possible. Where you live shouldn’t determine the quality of cancer care you receive. Nairobi is proving that local action can change that.”
